Football games and Birthday Parties...

This weekend was so much fun but very tiring.. Cole's football team  got to play on the High School field and they had a blast !! We played the 1st place team but sadly lost only by 3 points... Cole was even able to tryout his new snap that our SUPER nice friend, Levi Cagle tought him... 

What a Stud and PURE athelete... and yes, I am going to throw it in there about how proud I am of him...

Slap in the face

　Today is a day I don’t think I will ever forget….
After a long day (3 ½ hrs ) @ the Golf Pro Store … We decided to stop @ the local Red Box to get a movie and watch as a family before we went to bed… little did we know a reality check was in store for us…
God works in mysterious ways….


Wes got out of the car to return a movie we had previously rented and there was a homeless man sitting there… on the concrete.. With two signs that read “ will work for cash…. And another one that read “ homeless” …. my heart broke … sitting there in front of this man , in my nice AC SUV and my beautiful babies in the back… my eyeballs just started flooding…
My mind was racing… what can I do to help this poor man??? I have to do something…and keep my kids safe!!
When Wes was through with the Red Box he came to my window and asked if we had any extra cash… I gave him what we had with no questions asked…
He came out of the store with bags full of food and drinks for this man….. I don’t know if Wes felt the amount of concern I had on my face for this man or if he felt the same…
While we were sitting there in my car waiting on my husband, still  at the Red Box another man came out and sat down beside the homeless man and gave him a sandwich.. … Wes overheard the conversation.. The man that sat down beside him claimed to be homeless as well living in the woods and was praying that it wouldn’t rain tonight…
Any day that could be anyone of us…..

I am truly thankful for my babies, my life, my family, and my God……

Daddy turns the big 30 !!

I had been planning a "Surprise"  Birthday party for Wes for the past month.. afterall , you only turn 30 once, right???  Cole was my little partner in crime during this whole month.. He helped me plan the party guest, the idea of getting his Daddy to town without giving away any clues, and the gift.. and yes, my little 8 yr. old kept this a secret for a whole month!!

Needless to say, It was a total surprise to him..

I LOVE YOU MAMA!!

My mom brought MaeJae to me today after work to go to Auntie Ashley's Matilda Jane party.. I was so excited to see her.I missed her soo much .. When I started to drive away from the office MaeJae said "I LOVE YOU MAMA" my heart just melted.. I had tears in my eyes and so much joy in my heart.. I had to call Wes right away to share the news... she has never really put that many words together before.. It is so amazing how a 15 month old shows you their love... Perfect ending to a long day!

1st draft pick

So most of you  know that we are big on baseball in our family.. Cole has chosen to give baseball a break and play decided to play football.. yes .. a shock to Wes and I. But I do believe it is for the best.... a change is sometime a good thing.. The drafts were Monday afternoon... its 95 degrees and the heat index is 110... SERIOUSLY???.. no kid should be running around in this heat!! I was fully prepared for him to be out there in this nasty weather.. I had sunscreen pack and 2 Gatorade's and a bottle of water in the freezer @ 8 am ... and yes, MaeJae and I did follow him around where ever he was at on the field and made sure he had a drink in his hand every time he had a break... Over protective?? naw, just a tiny bit..  We recieved a call  on Tuesday and Cole was chosen as the first pick in the first round out of his age group.... He blew everyone out of  the water  in atheleticability... Way to Go Cole-Train!! Can you say PROUD parents!!  Now, time to go shopping fo rsome Auburn Tigers fabric to make MaeJae some outfits !! Woo Hoo!!
